I liked the Australian style very much and also subscribed to their Appliqué Quilts Magazine. The very first issue featured this colourful Hibiscus wall hanging. This was the first time I used embellishments on a quilt, small beads seemed the best way to depict the stamina. I liked the design so much that I used it for a set of greeting cards later on.
