After moving to Canada I went through some serious health issues, and when my quilting friends in Germany heard about this, they started making healing hearts (or stars or shamrocks or whatever seemed appropriate) blocks for me to cheer me up. I received the blocks for this quilts three weeks before my treatments started and managed to finish the binding the night before.
