The Last Monkey Blocks

Today is the last day that you can get the full Monkey Business pattern with a 20% discount, and to remind everyone not to miss the deadline, I am going to show more Monkey block pictures. Here are Elaine’s blocks 10, 11 and 12:

And here are Sigrid’s, still featuring the custom backgrounds:

Thank you to both ladies for sending me pictures every month, I enjoy seeing the finished blocks.

The Next Monkey Blocks

After receiving pictures of the current blocks last week I realized that I never posted the pictures of blocks 7, 8 & 9 that both ladies sent me. Here are Elaine’s blocks:

And here are Sigrid’s, she still comes up with a custom background for her monkeys every month:

Once again, thank you to both of you for sending me your pictures every month, I really enjoy them!

More Monkey Blocks

I am going to make an effort to return to a more normal posting schedule. First up is another round of Show & Tell. Elaine has been busy making more Monkey blocks, here are her April, May and June blocks.

Sigrid has been busy as well, and I really enjoy the different custom backgrounds she creates for her Monkeys. Here are the next three blocks she stitched.

Thank you to both ladies for faithfully sending me a picture every month. I very much enjoy seeing what others make with my designs.

The First Monkey Blocks

Elaine has been faithfully sending me a picture of her finished block every month, ever since I published my first pattern of Barnyard Bash. Here are her first three completed Monkey Business blocks. I love the background fabric she chose, very cute. Click on the pictures for a bigger/slide show view.

This year Sigrid started sending me pictures of her finished blocks as well, and I am really enjoying them. It is so much fun to see what all of you create and how you make my patterns your own. Sigrid creates custom backgrounds for her monkeys by stitching two different fabrics together, what a great idea!

I’ll be happy to post more Show & Tell pictures. If you would like to be featured, email me photos of your finished blocks. My email address can be found on the cover page of every pattern.

Penguin Promenade Gallery

As promised, here is the gallery of finished Penguin Promenade blocks. I enjoy looking at them, all the different fabrics, all the small things that are a bit different, so much to see, what fun! If you click on the first thumbnail, it will take you to the slideshow view of the gallery, and you can see a bigger picture. I will add more pictures as they come in. I will send out the finishing instructions to those who qualify at the same time, so when you see your picture in the gallery, you know I have emailed the instructions. Please check your spam folder or even better, add my email address to your contact list, so the email won’t be marked as spam in the first place.

If you are looking for my email address to send in your finished Penguin blocks, it can be found on the cover page of every pattern, on the left-hand side at the bottom, underneath the fabric requirements. Please DO NOT use the contact form or Facebook comments/messages to ask me for my email address. I do not have the time to email it to everyone individually. These requests will be ignored. Thank you for understanding.

And now grab a cup of coffee and enjoy our little Penguin Promenade:

If you missed the free downloads last year, the full pattern including all blocks and finishing instructions is available for purchase in the store section.

Show and Tell: Elaine’s Barnyard Bash

Elaine from BC faithfully sent me a picture of her completed Barnyard Bash block every month. It was so much fun to see what she came up with as she made small (or sometimes not so small) changes to the patterns. She managed to finish her quilt before I finished my sample, I was still stitching on the binding when she emailed me the picture of her version. Great job, Elaine! Who else has made the blocks and not just collected the patterns? I am still willing to set up a gallery but I need more pictures. Send them to me, and your quilt might be featured in a future Show and Tell post.

Barnyard Bash Elaine

Barnyard Bash – made by Elaine from BC

Winter Is Coming

… and these ladies are ready! Do you recognize the pattern? It’s my January Snowman 2″ scrap pattern from last year. Karen and her sister teach quilting classes in Michigan, and this is the result of their October class. Great job, ladies, and thank you, Karen, for sending the picture.

The pattern is still available for free download, it can be found here. It is free for personal use only, teaching it as a class is not allowed without my permission. If you are interested, please contact me first.
