Pemaquid Point

I love lighthouses, and my favourite is Pemaquid Point in Maine. When I was experimenting with pictorial quilts, I drafted this wall hanging from our vacation pictures. This was another hand appliqué project, I printed the whole pattern on muslin and appliquéd the pieces.

Hey Beatrice, love your designs. I also love lighthouses and the beach. Wondering if you are planning any beach related quilt patterns designed like the Hunny Bunnies and Pengiuns. Looking forward to more exciting patterns. …from North Carolina

Hi Karen, thank you! I never know what I will come up with. Inspiration is a strange thing, it never comes when you need it, and then when you least expect it, everything falls into place. I have no idea how to make a beach or lighthouse BOM work. I tried some ocean drawings a while ago and was not happy. Next year’s BOM is ready to go, but what comes after that, who knows? I have no idea yet 🙂
