Tuxedo Cats BOM – Block #7

Happy Canada Day! If you are celebrating this holiday, I hope you have some fun things planned for today. The weather here is supposed to be lovely, warm and sunny but not too hot. If you are in Europe, stay cool und hydrate. I thought it was hot when I was visiting, I am sure glad I am missing this heatwave. We had some cool and rainy days this past week but I am not complaining, I’ll take rain over heat any day.

Tuxedo Cat #7

With today’s block we are already more than halfway through this year’s block of the month. After feeling overwhelmed for months I was wondering if I should do another BOM next year, and I am still a little undecided but ideas keep popping into my head. Maybe that’s a sign 🙂 I have been feeling more organized for the past two weeks, and I am getting more things done without feeling stressed. But back to the Tuxedo Cats, as always, this block will be available for free download until the end of the month and then move over to the store section when the August block is published.

EDIT: It’s August, and the July block moved to the store section. If you missed the free download, it is now available for purchase.

This is so sweet. I am really loving these cats. Thank you for posting them for us. I am in Illinois and we are getting so much rain. Plants really are not liking it. Dont blame them. And lately it has been in the 80’s and 90’s. So really muggy. I quilt, so when I start getting overwhelmed with so many ideas I start writing them down and making folders with all my ideas and storing them there according to theme. Later I will go back and look at them and either file them away or “ohh this really looks like it would be fun, will I be able to do it?” Hope this idea helps.

Thank you, Lori, that is a great way of keeping your ideas organized. I do this digitally, using Google Keep which is a free (with a Google account) service like Evernote, not as fancy, but sufficient for my needs. It lets me take notes and save pictures, and I can tag them and search later on. I do this not only with pattern ideas but also with quilting designs. It gives me something to look at when I am stuck and a quilt isn’t speaking to me yet, and I find it less cluttered than Pinterest.
