Jane made this quilt using scraps collected over a period of 30 years. When she found the two boxes containing the scraps she decided to sort them by colour and turn them into a memory quilt, using a pattern by Cheryl Atkinson. She chose the pantograph “Oak Leaves and Acorns” but wondered if I could quilt something different in the white centre squares. I came up with a motif that is a variation of the Oak Leaves and Acorns pattern that fit perfectly.

Als Quiltmuster hat sie sich “Oak Leaves and Acorns” ausgesucht, fragte aber, ob ich nicht in die weißen Quadrate in der Mitte der Blöcke ein Motiv quilten könne. Dafür habe ich mir dann eine Variation des Oak Leaves and Acorns Musters ausgedacht, und das hat dann gut gepasst.
