Mary made this stunning quilt from batik fabrics. Lots and lots of small pieces, and she patiently put them together over a period of six months. For the outer border she used the same pattern but switched the values, and I love the result. For quilting Mary chose the pattern “Feathered Curls”.

Diesen Quilt hat Mary aus Batikstoffen genäht. Geduldig hat sie über Monate jede Menge kleine und kleinste Teile zusammengenäht. Für den äußeren Rand hat sie das gleiche Muster verwendet, aber die hellen und dunklen Stoffe ausgetauscht. Das Ergebnis gefällt mir außerordentlich gut. Als Quiltmuster hat Mary “Feathered Curls” gewählt.

Nächste Woche nehme ich mir frei, wir sehen uns wieder, wenn ich zurück bin.
