Crazy Cats

Crazy Cats is a Buggy Barn pattern and was made by Sharon. She wanted the cats to stand out and had even added an extra layer of batting to make them puffy, so I stayed away from them as much as possible during quilting. I chose four different background fillers and alternated them around the blocks. One of the fillers was a swirly design that I picked up for the outer border. Sharon put a lot of love and work into this top. All the eyes are buttons, different ones for every cat to suit their personality. Some of the whiskers are embroidered, some of them are rick rack or leather. The back didn’t photograph well, the colour looked beige in the pictures but is an orange-brown in reality that goes well with the colour scheme of the top. I fiddled around with it in photo editing software, and this is as good as it gets but it is much too bright and orange in the picture.

Crazy Cats 1

Is it possible to get a digital verision of your Crazy Cats quilt pattern? I would be happy to pay for it. OR, how much is the pattern and where (in US, hopefully Arizona) can I get it? There are about 7 of us that want to make a quilt for the President of our Guild and we think this pattern is perfect for her. I would need to copy the pattern for them, so no copyright stuff can be on it, or I need a letter with permission to copy.

Hi Debbie, unfortunately I can’t help you with this. Crazy Cats is not my design, I just quilted it for a customer. It was a Buggy Barn pattern, and as far as I know the company broke up a while ago, and their patterns are out of print. Sorry about that, and thanks for stopping by.

Hi Anne, thanks for stopping by! I didn’t piece this quilt, just quilted it for a customer, so I don’t know how it was put together. Sorry about that.
