Last weekend the Chilliwack Piecemakers Quilting Guild held a We Care Sewing Day at the Sardis Library. We made quilts from 6″ squares, batting and backing was also available, and finished tops were basted right away. I made two small quilt tops from flannel squares and took them home to quilt on my Millie. I have a pantograph called “Sweet Snooze” with teddy bears that I thought was just perfect for these quilts. I even put the binding on in the meantime, and both will be donated to the We Care program at the guild meeting this week.

Am letzten Wochenende fand in der Sardis Library ein “We Care” Nähtag statt, organisiert von der Chilliwack Piecemakers Quilting Guild. Wir trafen uns dort und nähten Quilts aus 15 cm großen Quadraten. Volumenvlies und Rückseitenstoff hatten wir auch reichlich vor Ort, und fertige Quilttops wurden gleich geheftet. Ich habe zwei kleinere Tops aus Flanellstoffen genäht und zum Quilten mit Millie mit nach Hause genommen. Ich habe ein Muster mit Teddybären, das “Sweet Snooze” heißt, und das war für diese kleinen Quilts genau richtig. Das Binding habe ich inzwischen auch angenäht, so dass die beiden Quilts diese Woche beim Gildetreffen gespendet werden können.
