Free Pattern: Geese Migration

“Geese Migration” is a free pattern designed by Cynthia Brunz of Quilting is more fun than Housework (great name by the way). Cynthia combined squares and flying geese to an unusual block that I find quite interesting. And I also like her use of colour and value. The quilt is not that difficult to make, it looks worse than it actually is, and the result is just stunning. The pattern can also be used for a scrappy quilt but as much as I like using up scraps, I think this particular pattern looks better the way Cynthia designed it.

Geese Migration

“Geese Migration” ist ein freies Muster von Cynthia Brunz/Quilting is more fun than Housework.

EDIT: The free pattern doesn’t seem to be available anymore. You can however purchase the pattern here now. Please respect the designer’s copyright and remember how much work goes into designing and writing a pattern. Not everything can be provided for free forever.

I love her block, but I couldn’t get link at Sew Mama Sew to work, and searching didn’t make it work, either. I can figure it out, based on a 12″ block, though! Thanks for the picture.
