This was so much fun to do! I find appliqué quilts fairly easy to custom quilt. Somehow I just look at a block, and I know exactly how it should be quilted. This is especially true for quilts with traditional appliqué blocks like this one. What a lovely piece of art and labour of love, well done, Joan.
Although I have not focused much on my patterns over the past year, I have continued quilting for customers, though not as frequently as before. It has been a while since I shared pictures of customer quilts, so it seems like the perfect time for some eye candy. Going forward, I plan to simplify the format of these posts. Unless there is an interesting story behind a quilt, I will provide just the essential details: the name of the quiltmaker, the name of the pantograph, and, if there is interest, the thread colour used.
Previously I posted pictures of Cynthia’s version of this beautiful Susan Smith pattern called “Fleur”. When her friend Lisa finished her top, I got to quilt another one of these beauties. Lisa had of course seen Cynthia’s finished quilt and liked my quilting, so I didn’t really change much, especially since I quite like it too.
