Barnyard Bash Block #10 – Darby the Donkey
Happy October everyone! Can you believe that summer is over and Thanksgiving is next week? (Canadian Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday in October, in case you are in the US and think I am confused). Last week was warm and sunny here, and I find it hard to go back to cool and rainy weather. But we definitely need the rain, and it’s better than snow. Our quilt show is coming up in three weeks, and I finished everybody else’s quilts and have to work on my own now. I still haven’t quilted the Square Dance Quilt, and it is beginning to make me nervous. Hopefully I will get it done this week. Here is October’s addition to the barnyard, Darby the Donkey. Darby will be available for free download until the end of the month and move over to the store in November to make room for Connie the Cow.
Willkommen im Oktober! Ist es nicht unglaublich, dass der Sommer vorbei ist und Weihnachten mit großen Schritten naht? In Kanada steht in der nächsten Woche erst mal Thanksgiving an, das wird hier am zweiten Montag im Oktober gefeiert und nicht im November, wie in den USA. In der letzten Woche war es noch einmal richtig schön warm und sonnig, und der Übergang zu kühlem und regnerischem Wetter fällt mir recht schwer. Aber der Sommer war wieder sehr trocken, wir brauchen den Regen, und Regen ist jedenfalls besser als Schnee. In drei Wochen findet dann auch unsere Quilt Show statt, und ich habe zwar die Quilts aller Kundinnen fertig, aber meine eigenen immer noch nicht. Besonders der Square Dance Quilt macht mich jetzt ein bisschen nervös, ich hoffe, ich schaffe es in dieser Woche, ihn zu quilten. Hier kommt jedenfalls das Oktober-Muster, Darby der Esel. Darby steht wie immer bis zum Monatsende zum kostenlosen Download zur Verfügung und zieht dann im November in den Shop um, um hier Platz für Connie die Kuh zu machen.

Can’t see where to download this month’s pattern. What am I missing? Haven’t had any problems with the previous months. Such cute animals.
Hi Karon, I am not sure… the link is where it always is, at the bottom of the post. You have to scroll past the German text, and then you should see a big turquoise button that says “click to download”. If you can’t see it, it might be a browser problem? Maybe you need to clear the cache or refresh. Or try a different browser. I hope you can figure it out.
