This quilt in lovely blues and greys was made by Cathy, and she asked me for light custom quilting. The quilt is essentially made up of half-square triangles in two different sizes, and I challenged myself to come up with different designs for the two sizes and the light and dark areas that could be quilted continuously without starting and stopping all the time. The more I do this, the more I realize that this is the part I enjoy most. The back is Fireside, and I love the secondary pattern that the quilting created.

Diesen Quilt in Blau- und Grautönen hat Cathy genäht, und sie bat um “Custom Quilting Light”. Das Muster ist aus Half-Square Triangles in zwei verschiedenen Größen zusammengesetzt, und ich setzte mir als Ziel, für die beiden Größen jeweils unterschiedliche Muster für die hellen und dunklen Dreiecke zu finden, und diese sollten dann auch noch ohne Abzusetzen zu quilten sein. Je öfter ich das mache, umso mehr fällt mir auf, dass mir dieser Prozess richtig Spaß macht. Die Rückseite ist Fireside, und ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Muster, das sich dort zeigt.
