Barnyard Bash Block #2: Freddie the Frog
Can you believe it is February already? Not that I am complaining, it is finally noticeable that the days are getting longer again, and I can’t wait for spring. I don’t mind the cold, rainy weather that we call winter here in the Pacific Northwest but I have trouble dealing with the lack of sunlight. I used to suffer from SAD, and February was always the worst month. Luckily I am so busy right now doing what I love that I have no time to drag my feet. So let’s get back to quilting, here is February’s block of the Barnyard Bash BOM, Freddie the Frog. I admit that a frog is probably not the most typical barnyard animal, but hey, somehow I had to come up with twelve different animals, and I liked his funny face. And he is easy to do, not many pieces, and most of them reasonably sized. Remember that Freddie will only be available for free download for the month of February, so better save him right away. And please come back in March to meet Sally the Sheep.
Es ist kaum zu glauben, aber der Januar ist tatsächlich schon wieder vorbei. Nicht, dass ich mich beschweren will, ich bin froh, dass die Tage langsam wieder länger werden, meinetwegen darf der Frühling gern kommen. Das Regenwetter im pazifischen Nordwesten macht mir nichts aus, aber die Dunkelheit im Winter macht mir schon immer zu schaffen. Früher hatte ich Winterdepressionen, und der Februar war immer der schlimmste Monat. Zum Glück habe ich dafür keine Zeit mehr, ich habe mehr als genug zu tun und muss mich aufraffen, um alles pünktlich fertig zu bekommen, und es geht mir deutlich besser. Für diesen Monat gibt es Freddie den Frosch als kostenlosen Download für den Monatsblock. Ich gebe ja zu, dass ein Frosch nicht unbedingt das typische Bauernhoftier ist, aber irgendwie musste ich ja auf zwölf Tiere kommen, und ich finde ihn witzig. Und er ist recht einfach zu applizieren, wenige und in der Mehrzahl recht große Teile. Freddie steht bis zum Ende des Monats kostenlos zur Verfügung, bevor er in den Shop umzieht. Und im nächsten Monat treffen wir dann auf Sally das Schaf.

Wie schön, es gibt einen BOM bei dir! Habe ich leider noch nicht mitbekommen gehabt … den Frosch musste ich sofort abspeichern, denn der wird hier auf alle Fälle mal gebraucht werden … Was habe ich denn im Januar verpasst?
